COVID-19 Testimonials and Treatments

As we have compiled COVID testimonials, two remedies (that happen to be part of God's Plan for health as pictured) stand out-- Sunshine and Hydrotherapy. In more than one case we know of, hydrotherapy, in the form of fomentations to the chest (hot and cold compresses on the chest), has probably saved the persons life and indeed kept them out of the hospital.  You will note that from the very light cases to the harsher ones hydrotherapy seemed to benefit all.

"We're just recovering from Covid. :) It was fun. Hydrotherapy works!
Glad to have that under our belts, praise the Lord!"---Physical Therapist

COVID is the worst thing I ever had. I was really sick. I almost died, but just at the crisis a hydropathic nurse showed up and did fomentations on me. It saved my life! -- Carpenter (Paraphrase)

"Our daughter contracted COVID  from someone else who had just been vaccinated and was coughing. She said it was basically like a mild cold. She hit it hard from the beginning, with contrast showers (hot and cold), high doses of vitamin C (acerola powder), an anti-viral which was a ginger, garlic and cayenne tea, lots of vitamin D in the form of sunshine (spent days outside in the sun), and plenty of fresh air. She regularly eats a plant-based diet. She never got to the point of needing anything else." -- Educator

When I contracted COVID, at first I thought I was just achy and tired from working in the kitchen all day preparing vegan food for a wedding. I decided to take a hot "fever" bath, but when that didn't seem to get rid of my aches, I suspected it was something more. After I tested positive, sadly, all the food I had prepared had to be thrown out. The next day I spent the day laying outside and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. I also took another "fever" bath. By the third day I was starting to feel better, but continued the sunshine, fresh air, and "fever" bath just for good measure. God's remedies really work! --  Midwife  (Paraphrase)

While one patient had a dutiful wife to do repeated fomentations on him
another patient came up with an ingenious way to do fomentations on herself
"A few weeks earlier I decided to do what I had heard.  When doing a hot pack treatment have your ice in a Styrofoam cup.  So it insulates the operator of the ice application.  Rip off the cup as needed.

"Well, I put some paper cups of water in the freezer.  I didn't have Styrofoam cups.  So when I got sick, I was ready.  I used my Thermophore [heating] pad 30 min. Then rubbed ice and repeated it 3 times.

"I feel like God had me prepared.  I did foot baths, saunas, sunbathing,  [herbal] teas, ... (a local plant that acts much like golden seal)... pine needle." -- Health Educator

A possible COVID infection flees from early intervention with God's natural remedies!
"After visiting with some neighbors, I began to get a scratchy throat, a few aches, and felt like I had a slight fever. I decided to ward it off with five drops of Oregano oil in water and a good nights sleep
But the next morning I still felt a little "iffy" when I got up to meet an early appointment. I tell my kids 'I don't do sick' so I ate a grapefruit, including the seeds, for breakfast and took some acerola powder (vitamin C). All day, I made sure I drank plenty of water, even more than I normally would. I also drank 3 cups of red clover/red raspberry teaAfter my appointment, I went out and sat in the sunshine for probably 1/2 hour, opening my mouth and sunning my throat periodically. Then I walked about 1/2 mile in the fresh air Later I took another dose of oregano oil and off I went for a nice hot "fever" bath interrupted only by running cold water on my arms three times.  During the bath, I also kept a warm moist washcloth on my throat.  I also took a dose of frankincense oil (just a couple of drops)Then I made some "ginger tea" from  ginger powder in warm rice milk, I even added a little raw honey.  At supper time I added some fresh pressed garlic in my non-dairy Alfredo sauce. With my salad, I ate 1/4 of a lemon, seeds, skin and all.  Later, I took another dose of oregano oil and some more ginger tea. By the next morning, I was feeling better, but topped my remedies off with elderberry pancakes for breakfast and some more fresh air, sunshine and exercise.  I am a firm believer in early intervention and trust in God for the blessing of His natural remedies." -- Gospel Health Educator and Author
Vitamin Sunshine

For good reason, Vitamin D is sometimes called the sunshine vitamin.   Now, “There’s new evidence that getting enough vitamin D provides significant support in protecting hospitalized individuals infected with Covid-19 from adverse outcomes.

“Researchers at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) analyzed data from 235 people who were admitted to the hospital with Covid-19. They found that patients older than 40 years old were 51.5 percent less likely to die from the infection if they had a sufficient level of Vitamin D, which they define as being at least 30 ng/mL.” 1

Indeed, “Vigor declines as years advance, leaving less vitality with which to resist unhealthful influences; hence the greater necessity for the aged to have plenty of sunlight, and fresh, pure air.”2 With the link to vitamin D deficiency or lack of sunshine it also then is no surprise that “about 40% of US coronavirus deaths are linked to nursing homes”3 where undoubtedly many patients get little or no sunshine at all.

Sunshine’s effect on immune heath includes that fact that it “increases the number of white blood cells in the blood and stimulates their ability to destroy both germs and cancer cells.” It also “Increases gamma globulin—a protein that helps the body fight infection.”4

“Dr. Michael F. Holick, lead author of the study and professor of medicine, physiology and biophysics, and molecular medicine at BUSM, says, ‘This study

study provides direct evidence that vitamin D sufficiency can reduce the complications, including the cytokine storm (release of too many proteins into the blood too quickly) and ultimately death from Covid-19’.” 1

“Holick also noted in another study, vitamin D not only provides better outcomes for those hospitalized with COVID-19, he also reported it can help patients avoid COVID-19 infection altogether – as the risk of catching the virus is reduced by 54% for those with adequate vitamin D levels – per the report.”5

Just another proof of the accuracy of sunshine’s biblical parallel, “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings…” Malachi 4:2

What to avoid: Junk food, Masks and pharmaceuticals

Helpful Herbal Remedies: Garlic, Olive leaf, Oregano Oil, Elderberry, Plantain, Eucalyptus Oil (steam treatments) Grapefruit Seed Extract

Natural Anticoagulants
If the patient begins to have shortness of breath and their oxygen saturation begins to drop, but they don’t have a productive cough, this could be because of blood clotting (which is known to happen with COVID-19). If that is the case, they may need to start natural anticoagulants. The following are natural anticoagulants that have proven helpful.
Garlic oil-- 2 capsules 3 times daily
Ginger powder-- ¼ teaspoon 3 times daily
A good quality 100% juice purple Grape Juice-- 1 cup 3 times daily

Vitamins and Minerals you should make sure you eat:
Zinc (lentils, beans, pumpkin seeds, whole grains, nuts, and seeds, etc. )
Quercetin (onions are the highest plant source--red and yellow being highest)
Vitamin C (We use acerola powder)
Selenium (Brazil Nuts--3 a day is about what you need)

BMJ reports that Plant-based eating may help lessen the severity of COVID. High protein diets raised the severity of COVID.
"After factoring in several potentially influential variables, including age, ethnicity, medical specialty, and lifestyle (smoking, physical activity), respondents who said they ate plant-based diets’ or plant-based/pescatarian diets had, respectively, 73% and 59% lower odds of moderate to severe COVID-19 infection, compared with those who didn’t have these dietary patterns.

"And compared with those who said they ate a plant-based diet, those who said they ate a low carb-high protein diet had nearly 4 times the odds of moderate to severe COVID-19 infection."

Onion Poultice
Some patients with lower respiratory symptoms (cough, productive cough, sharp chest pain, etc.), found an onion poultice to be very helpful.
Method 1: Take a whole onion, cut it into 8ths and put in a blender. Add just enough water so that it will blend. ( Place plastic wrap (food wrap) on the counter (large enough to generously cover the patient’s chest). Then place paper towel on the plastic wrap (large enough to cover the patient’s chest). Put the blended onion on the paper towel and spread out evenly over the paper towel. Place additional paper towel over the top of the onion.

Protect the bed in case of leakage. Have the patient lie on the bed with their chest uncovered. Place the onion poultice on the patient’s chest with the paper towel side against their chest and the plastic wrap over it. Use additional plastic wrap to wrap entirely around the chest/back and secure the onion poultice in place. Then cover with a tight-fitting under shirt and a thicker shirt. Leave in place for 4+ hours or leave on overnight. Remove and discard. Replace with a new poultice after letting the chest be free and dry out for a few hours. This can be repeated as often as needed.

Method 2: An alternate, and I think easier method that you could do on yourself can be found here.  https://www.facebook.com/drjoycechoe/videos/how-to-make-an-onion-poultice/202259330487142/

A few notes: If you cannot breathe, laying in a prone position (stomach down) has been proven to be much better than on your back. Also several people we've talked to have mentioned that they found a nebulizer or steam treatments to be helpful.
